I am second on our team -- and my coach says I'm the lead cheerleader on the team!
Having fun, meeting people, and of course winning.
People don't realize the commitment it takes to belong on a competitive curling team. From all of the practices, to the games and bonspiels, to your exercise routine and eating right -- you have to be very committed.
Meeting other teams from other sports, and taking in the whole experience.
Yes, this is my first Saskatchewan Games.
Have fun and do our best!
Our team wants to compete in the Q-Spiels next year. And maybe down the line, the Scotties!?
That's easy! My coach for many years, Darby Freistadt. He has taught me lots on and off the ice. The time and effort he puts towards our curling team is unbelievable. And when not helping with our team, he is mentoring other curling teams. Then in the summer, he switches sports and is a softball coach! I hope to someday have the traits and commitment of Darby.
