My favourite part about the sport is being outside, meeting new people and seeing different places while racing.
It's very difficult once you start but it gets easier as you get used to it. It's often cold out and it takes a lot of skill to ski competitively.
I'm most looking forward to meeting new people adn having fun. When you compete at the Games, you meet so many amazing people and you create memories that you cherish forever.
No, this will be my third Games. I have previously competed at the 2014 Saskatchewan Winter Games in Prince Albert for cross country skiing, and the 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games in Estevan for soccer.
Working on new techniques and trying to beat my personal best.
My ultimate goal for cross country skiing would be to compete in the Winter Olympics.
I have a number of role models: Ms. Anita Fraser, who taught me to ski from kindergarten to grade 4; Mr. Evan Davies, who helped me to become competitive in grades 5 and 6; and Mr. Birkham, who has coached me since grade 7 and has taught me so much. I also have Mr. and Mrs. McGonigle who have taken me to ski races and events. They are amazing Doctors in our community who do many hours of community volunteer work. I also have my Pops who has coached for many years at our high school. I have seen him give up so much to help the kids in our community. These are the people I look up to!
