Read their interview below to learn more about Alpine Skiing, and the LaMontagnes' sibling rivalry, in today's #SportSpotlight!

Names: Brodie and Lincoln LaMontagne

Sport: Alpine Skiing

Years competing in Alpine Skiing: This is our second year with the Regina Alpine Race Team (RART). We have been skiing since we were 3 years old, so ten years now.

What's your favourite event?
We both like Ski Cross. It's fast and there are obstacles to go around -- it's more like free skiing and it's all-around fun!

What’s your favourite part about competing and participating in your sport?
Skiing with our team and challenging ourselves to get a faster time -- and competing against each other.

What’s something people might not know about alpine skiing?
We wax and sharpen our skis nearly every time we use them, and we train 3-4 days a week at Mission Ridge Winter Park in Fort Qu'Appelle.

Is this your first time at a Saskatchewan Games?
YES! We can't wait to go!

What are you most looking forward to about the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games?
Making new friends in the Athletes' Village and having the experience of a lifetime.

What are your goals for the Games?
We both want to beat each other, make it onto the podium with a fast time, and just have fun!

Who are your personal heroes?
Our Dad and all of our coaches. They've put a lot of time and effort to help us get to where we are today. Thanks for always encouraging us with a positive attitude!

Alpine Skiing will be in competition from February 18th - 21st at one of Saskatchewan's best hills, Table Mountain Regional Park.
