SaskTel Named Athlete’s Village Sponsor for the 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games

Meadow Lake & Flying Dust First Nation, Saskatchewan — The 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games Host Committee is pleased to recognize SaskTel as a sponsor of one of the Athlete’s Villages for the 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games.

As an Athlete’s Village Sponsor, SaskTel’s support will directly enhance the experience of athletes during their stay at the Games. The Athlete’s Villages serve as a home base for participants, providing a welcoming and supportive environment where athletes can rest, connect with teammates, and prepare for competition.

In addition to sponsoring an Athlete’s Village, SaskTel has generously provided charging stations that will be available throughout the Athlete’s Villages for use during the Games. These stations will help athletes keep their devices powered, supporting communication with families, coaches, and teammates and allowing them to capture and share their Games experience.

“The Athlete’s Villages are a central part of the Games experience for our participants,” said Brittani Dunsing, Games Manager. “SaskTel’s support helps create a comfortable and connected environment for athletes, allowing them to focus on their competitions while staying in touch with the people who support them.”

SaskTel has a long-standing commitment to supporting Saskatchewan communities and events that bring people together. Their sponsorship of the Athlete’s Village reflects a shared focus on connection, community pride, and celebrating youth sport across the province.

“At SaskTel, we believe that supporting our youth is one of the most meaningful ways we can enrich everyday life across Saskatchewan,” said Charlene Gavel, SaskTel President and CEO. “The Athlete’s Villages are more than places to stay – they’re hubs where young people can connect, grow, and build memories that strengthen our communities for years to come. In this regard, SaskTel is proud to be a major sponsor of the 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games and help create a space where the next generation can thrive, compete, and inspire us all.”

The 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games will be co-hosted by Meadow Lake and Flying Dust First Nation and are expected to welcome thousands of athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and visitors from across Saskatchewan.

The Host Committee extends its sincere thanks to SaskTel for their leadership and support as an Athlete’s Village Sponsor of the 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games.
