2022 Saskatchewan Winter Games Presented by Teine Energy Ltd.


REGINA, SK, November 18, 2021 — The 2022 Saskatchewan Winter Games Host Organizing Committee is thrilled to announce that Teine Energy Ltd. has signed on as the presenting partner for the 50th anniversary Games. The Games are set to take place in Regina for the first time ever from February 20-26, 2022.


Teine Energy Ltd. (Teine) is a Calgary-based privately-held energy company focused on environmentally conscious development of low-risk, geographically concentrated assets. The company’s primary operations are currently situated within southwestern Saskatchewan developing both Viking as well as Bakken enhance oil projects. Saskatchewan is a key province for Teine’s operations and the partnership reflects their ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities in which they operate.


With three months until the Games, Teine joins as a partner at a crucial time. Tickets sales will be launching on November 26. Athlete selections are currently happening throughout the province and volunteer recruitment is well underway. Over 1,000 volunteers will be needed to make the Games a success.


The 2022 Saskatchewan Winter Games will see competition between upwards of 1,800 participants from across the province in 16 different sports. These include Alpine Skiing, Artistic Swimming, Badminton, Biathlon, Bowling – Special Olympics, Cross Country Skiing and Para Nordic Skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Futsal, Gymnastics, Snowboarding, Speed Skating, Table Tennis, Target Shooting, Weightlifting, and Wrestling. This is the first time Regina has ever hosted a Saskatchewan Games.
