2020 Host Society Hires Games Manager
Sep 11, 2018

LLOYDMINSTER, SK (September 11, 2018) – The 2020 Saskatchewan Summer Games Host Society is delighted to
announce the hiring of Nicole Clow as Games Manager for the upcoming Summer Games to be hosted throughout
the border city region of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan and Alberta.

With a breadth of knowledge, experience and education, Clow is no stranger to Saskatchewan Games or athletics.
Deemed two of the most successful Saskatchewan Games to date – both in participation and financially – Clow was
the games manager for both the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games in North Battleford and the 2016 Saskatchewan
Summer Games in Estevan.

“I am thrilled to once again be working with a Games Host Society, and am excited to see what we can accomplish
over the next two years by working with the Saskatchewan Games Council and other Games partners,” says Clow, who
will be responsible for the organization, coordination and planning of a highly successful Summer Games, including
the management of the games office. “The Games hold a dear place in my heart. I look forward to hitting the ground
running and making this a memorable event for the participants and their families, and those in attendance.”

Since 2010, Clow has held varying roles with host societies and Saskatchewan Games Council. Prior to that, she competed
as an athlete in 2004 before coaching in 2008 when Lloydminster hosted its first Saskatchewan Summer Games.

Clow has her Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Regina with a major in Recreation and Sport
Administration. In April 2018, she was recognized with the Kinesiology and Health Studies Recent Distinguished
Alumni Award.

“We (the Host Society) are excited to have Nicole join us in Lloydminster. Her professionalism, people skills, energy
and work ethic came through in leaps and bounds as she worked through the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games,” said
Kevin Kusch, chair of the 2020 Saskatchewan Summer Games Host Society. “Nicole’s talents are a perfect mesh with
our Board. We share many of the same characteristics that will complement each other well.

“I am positive the 2020 Saskatchewan Summer Games in Lloydminster will be remembered for many years to come as
a fantastic event that highly impacted the athletes and the city of Lloydminster.”

The 2020 Saskatchewan Summer Games will be held in Lloydminster from July 26 – Aug. 1, 2020.

This will be the second time Lloydminster has hosted the Saskatchewan Summer Games, following its first appointment
in 2008. The success of the 2008 Games was recognized by Tourism Saskatchewan, who provided the 2008 Host
Society with an award for excellence in promotional/marketing campaigns. Lloydminster has also twice played host to
the Alberta Games: the Winter Games in 1982, and the Summer Games in 1997.

The purpose of the Saskatchewan Games is to provide an opportunity for the province’s developing athletes,
coaches and officials to participate in a multi-sport event in preparation for the higher level of competition. To learn
