December 21, 2020 Update: To protect the health and safety of participants, volunteers, spectators, event staff, and residents of Lloydminster and due to continuing concerns around COVID-19, the 2021 Saskatchewan Summer Games have been cancelled.
The Saskatchewan Games Council shares in the disappointment of the many athletes who have trained hard and were looking forward to qualifying for and competing in the Games; the coaches, managers and mission staff who were looking forward to supporting young athletes and their District Teams; and the Lloydminster community, who was looking forward to bringing the entire province to their backyard.
We send our gratitude to the dedicated Host Society for all their hard work and dedication in bringing the Games to Lloydminster, led by Games Manager Nicole Clow, Chair Kevin Kusch and Vice Chair Cindy Rekimowich.
The City of Lloydminster will have the first right of refusal to host the 2024 Saskatchewan Summer Games. The host of the 2024 Games will be formally announced in fall of 2021. We look forward to working together to stage an exceptional, safe, and celebratory Summer Games in the future!
